Technique: Vibratory Compaction

Vibratory Compaction

Vibratory Compaction is a ground improvement technology used to densify granular soils. It can be used to increase bearing capacity, reduce settlement, mitigate liquefaction and improve granular fill. Vibratory compaction uses equipment similar to aggregate piers but does not rely on aggregate to improve the ground.

Common Applications Include:

  • Quick and inexpensive foundation system
